Contrary to what you hear on the CB, it's not about where you're from, what you wear or what transmission your truck has in it. Put simply, as third generation drivers we remember when Truck Drivers were true PROFESSIONALS who took pride in what they did and sought to do it well. We desire to see that again in our industry.

We believe the answer can be found on a ring that was presented to Dad after many years of safe driving. There are only a few words on the ring...

Above all else, Truck Drivers must be the safest drivers on the road. The public expects us to be the safest drivers on the road. And we are trained to be the safest drivers on the road.

Be patient and remain positive with others, especially other drivers, shippers and receivers. Sure, the lady at the guard shack has an attitude, but consider what drivers she's been dealing with all day. And yes, there are young drivers who lack your experience, but most are willing to learn and listen if we truly want to help instead of just giving them a hard time or cussing them on the CB.

There are many ways that we can share the road... Give a four-wheeler (or another truck) a little more space or time. Move over for someone. Use the correct lane for the situation. Use your headlights and marker lights to signal other drivers. Slow down in when around other vehicles and people (truck stops, rest areas, etc.). Don't be a distracted driver.

Recent events have put Truck Drivers in the headlines and demonstrated what our family has known for three generations...Truck Drivers are critical to our Nation. We believe it is a privilege and blessing to be able to serve our country as Truck Drivers. We are proud of our profession and we take seriously the responsibility to be safe, courteous drivers who share the road.
Do you feel the same way? We hope so, but we also realize that few drivers today do. Most don't care about themselves let alone their profession, other drivers or customers. However, we will continue to do our part daily and hope you will join us in MAKING TRUCKING GREAT AGAIN.
